Evaluation of EnCoRe: Enriching Courses with Resources

Funded by the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) of the higher and further education funding bodies, EnCoRe is a project, hosted by the University of Derby, that seeks to develop a personal research toolkit for both students and academics which enables the user to search disparate collections of resources seamlessly, annotate and cross reference sources, and generate bibliographic and course documents. The toolkit aims to provide this service via a single interface based on emerging OpenURL standards for Web documents and other items supported by a commercially developed electronic linking package named 1 CATE.

The project is part of the JISC DiVLE programme <http://www.jisc.ac.uk/mle/divle>, which aims to explore the technical, pedagogical and organisational issues of linking digital library systems and virtual learning environments.

CIRT's role was to conduct an evaluation of the EnCoRe project.
