More than 100 delegates from around the world attended this three day conference which offered practitioners, researchers and policymakers interested in joint use libraries a unique opportunity to meet, network and share experiences.

Visits to local joint use libraries

Manchester Libraries:

  • North City Library - A joint use library shared by North Manchester Sixth Form College and the public library service
  • East City Library - A joint use library shared by the public library service and MANCAT (Manchester College of Art & Technology)

Bolton Libraries

  • Bolton Central Library - A Primary Care Trust learning and resource library and a Children's Information Service are both located within Bolton Central Library
  • High Street Library - a Bolton Access Point for information and will be offering Youth facilities, a Book Bar and Study Support in the two upstairs community rooms.
