Discovering physical objects: meeting researchers’ needs.

This project on Finding Aids and Discovery Services for collections of objects and artefacts was commissioned by RIN (http://www.rin.ac.uk/) (the Research Information Network) with the aim of reviewing the availability, scope and quality of finding aids.

The report investigated how researchers across a representative range of disciplines gained information about collections of physical objects and artefacts that may be of relevance to their research, with particular reference to collections in the UK.
